Hey guys!!

So this week I made Banana Bread/Loaf whatever you want to call it.
Now just to let you know after baking this I realised that i actually don't like the taste of banana in cake. Yeah, I know. I probably should have thought about this before I made it.
However, after trying this loaf I was actually surprised. I LOVED IT!!! #shocking. And my housemates loved it too, so much that one of them decided to eat it all and save me just a little a bit. He won't be having any next time.

Hopefully you guys will try this recipe too!!

Ingredients
140g butter, softened and extra for greasing
140g caster sugar
2 large eggs, beaten
140g self raising flour
1tsp baking powder
2 ripe bananas, mashed

If making the toppings
50g icing sugar
dried banana chips
Method
First I preheated the oven to 180C/160C/gas 4.

Butter a loaf tin and line with baking/greaseproof paper.

Mix the butter and sugar together. I used a wooden spoon and a whisk, but it will be so much easier to use an electric whisk, trust me

Slowly add the eggs and a little bit of flour

Fold in the rest of the flour, baking powder and bananas and pour into the tin.

Bake for 30 mins or until it's cooked. Insert a wooden skewer in until it comes out clean. I just used a knife and did the same procedure.

Leave it in the tin to cool for 10 or so minutes and then remove from the tin.

You can enjoy the loaf like that as I did or you can drizzle over icing sugar and adding banana chips as the recipe says.

Enjoy hot or cold!!
